XO, Kitty
 (Season 2)

Streaming Service: Netflix
Genre: Teen Drama, Romance, Comedy
Episode Count: 10 episodes

Season 2 of XO, Kitty picks up right where we left off, with Kitty Song Covey navigating the rollercoaster of her love life, friendships, and school life at the Korean Independent School of Seoul 🎢📚. This season brings in new twists, deeper emotional connections, and some real talk about growing up and all while keeping things fresh and super engaging ✨.

Long Story Short:

Kitty’s back for semester two in Korea, but things are way more complicated this time around. Her relationship with Yuri hits a major bump after they share a really intimate and awkward kiss 😳💋... but then Yuri starts pulling away, leaving Kitty in a swirl of confusion and frustration. Kitty also tries to hang onto the romantic ideals she learned from her sisters, but real love? It’s messier than she thought 😬. As if that wasn’t enough, she’s learning some tough lessons about boundaries and when to back off in her friendships because, oops, sometimes Kitty doesn’t know where to stop 🛑💭.

Favorite Moments:

  • The LGBTQ+ representation was a major highlight! Yuri, Kitty and Julianna's journey felt so real and empowering. Their struggles were depicted with sincerity, showing a diverse range of experiences and emotions 🌈💖.
  • The kiss between Yuri and Kitty? 🔥🔥🔥 But, the subsequent cold shoulder Yuri gives Kitty? Yikes 😬. News flash: that's not what friends do! Kitty deserved better than that, honestly.
  • Kitty’s lessons on boundaries and respecting others’ feelings were really great, even though sometimes she was a bit too caught up in her own world 🧠🌍. She’s learning, but still got some growing to do.
  • Peter Kaminsky’s cameo was everything 🥹! The little sibling energy between him and Kitty is so sweet and fun to watch. His visit was such a warm, fuzzy moment, and I loved how he gave Kitty the best advice. Seriously, he’s like the big brother everyone needs, guiding Kitty through her mess with his grounded wisdom. I just love their sibling dynamic so much! 🥰👫
Worst Moments (The Ending):
Without giving too much away, the ending was a bit of a letdown. It felt like it wrapped up too quickly, and some plotlines weren’t given the closure they deserved. There was a lot of build-up, but the payoff didn’t hit as hard as I had hoped.

Kitty Needs to Learn:
Okay, Kitty, we see the growth, but honey, you really need to learn when to stay in your lane 🛑. She’s got a heart of gold, but girl, sometimes she’s just way too invested in fixing everyone else’s problems like, can we focus on your own mess for a second? 🙄 She’s out here trying to solve everyone’s issues without even asking if they want her to (newsflash: they don’t always), and it’s like, chill, girl. 💅 Kitty needs to stop assuming she’s the savior of the day and take a little time for self-reflection instead of always diving into other people’s business. Keep that energy for your own growth, boo.

Okay, this moment had me clutching my pearls. Kitty, in her “I’m just trying to help” mode, decides it’s a great idea to show Min Ho, Stella’s “real self” (as if he doesn’t have eyeballs and can’t figure it out on his own) 👀. And what does he do? He literally yells at her and tells her NOT to meddle? EXCUSE ME?! 😱 That’s what friends do, Min Ho! We meddle, we get involved, and we say things you don’t always wanna hear (but that’s just called love, sweetie). Kitty’s like, “I’m just trying to help!” and Min Ho’s all, “Back off!” Uh, rude much? 🙄 Kitty deserves better than that cold, “Don’t interfere” treatment. If I were her, I’d be like, “Well, next time, I won’t be saving you from your own mess, buddy.”

Okay, okay, I get it. Min Ho came in hot with that whole “don’t meddle” meltdown, but—plot twist—they actually made up in the end, and honestly? It was so cute 😍. Like, all that yelling and drama just to hug it out like nothing happened? Classic! But still, Kitty was just doing her friend thing, so it was like, "Excuse me, sir, that’s what we do for our friends!" 🤷‍♀️ But the fact that they patched things up and ended on a sweet note was a chef’s kiss moment. It was like, okay Min Ho, you get a pass… but you owe Kitty some ice cream for that emotional rollercoaster. 🍦

Final Thoughts:
Season 2 of XO, Kitty really hits you right in the feels. Kitty’s journey isn’t just about dating and kisses (though, let’s be real, those moments are well), it’s also about growth, love, and realizing where she maybe oversteps—oops! But in the end, she learns from her mistakes, and it was honestly so heartwarming. The scene where her family comes together had me shedding a tear (yes, I’m not afraid to admit it, pass the tissues 😭). Kitty’s not just fixing her friendships, she’s bringing her whole world closer, and that was a beautiful, full-circle moment. And let’s not forget Min Ho—his relationship with Kitty is just getting started, so fingers crossed for some juicy moments next season! The show mixes the lighthearted, fun teen drama with deep, emotional moments, making it a must-watch for fans of romance, realness, and good old-fashioned growth. Kitty, we’re still rooting for you, keep learning, keep loving, and maybe chill on the meddling, alright? 😉
